Same-Day Teeth: How Full-Arch Dental Implants Work in One Visit

If most or all of your teeth in an arch are failing, the standard tooth-by-tooth approach can mean months in temporary dentures. Same-day full-arch treatment — the approach behind our Smile in a Day service — takes a different route: a fixed set of teeth on the same day the implants are placed.

How one visit is possible

A full arch doesn't need an implant for every tooth. A small number of implants, positioned to make the most of your available bone, can support a complete fixed bridge. Because the implants are splinted together by that bridge, they can carry a set of teeth immediately while healing happens underneath.

• Planning: a 3D scan maps bone and nerve position, and the implant positions are planned in advance.
• Procedure day: any remaining failing teeth are removed, the implants are placed, and a fixed provisional arch is attached the same day.
• Healing: the implants integrate over the following months while you wear the fixed provisional — not a removable denture.
• Final arch: once healed, the provisional is swapped for the definitive restoration.

Who it suits

It's designed for people who are losing, or have already lost, most teeth in an arch, and who want to avoid removable dentures. Adequate bone for the planned implant positions is the main requirement; grafting is sometimes done at the same visit. A consultation with a 3D scan is what confirms it.

Recovery

Expect swelling and soreness for several days, managed with prescribed and over-the-counter medication. A soft diet for the first weeks protects the healing implants. Most people return to work within a few days.
